Corten effect paint
Quick and easy painting process for corten steel surfaces. Corten is a special steel that undergoes a chemical oxidation. Apparently it is similar to the rust but at the same time it is different.
The product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, smoother or textured finishing. The textured finishing leads to a visual and tactile more material and realistic appearance. Unlike other solutions, the strength of the corten effect paint is the simplicity of application; the effect is always obtained even on complex surfaces, because the application “not perfect” is a complicit requisite of a more similar appearance to real corten steel. The application of “Corten effect” paint leads to excellent results if layed on by an airbrush.
Although the rust effect paint has not been studied for bodywork, it is possible to paint cars, motorcycles and other vehicles for outdoor. The transparent recommended by us, for outdoor application on rust surface, is very opaque compared to the opaque transparent for bodywork but, in this case, you should use the opaque transparent for bodywork to increase scratch and gasoline resistance. The product does not respond to the Directive 42/2004/CE (VOC values), therefore it can be used with the limitations provided only. The surface treated in this way is stable and does not present significant changes, even with continuous solar exposition.
The colors on screen are indicative only.
In order to permit evaluation of the effect and for small surfaces a test kit of the product is available, for information please do not hesitate to contact us.
The effect can be layed by the use of a primer on:
– metal (iron, aluminium, brass etc …)
– plastics (ABS, ABS-PC, etc …)
– for application on the wall a water based cycle is available; please contact us for more information
The painting cycle of the product is described in the relative data sheet. It can also be requested to firstname.lastname@example.org or by the contact form. You can also download it directly by the specific module of registration.
