A Velvety Soft Textured Paint

The Tessuto effect advances the goal of developing paint effects that completely transform a surface. This special fabric effect paint brings forth new features such as a velvety soft touch that is integrated into a multicolored matte finish.

The Tessuto is based on an acrylic polyurethane paint formulated with special black and white pigments enclosed in soft textured microspheres. The effect produces a sophisticated multicolored finish that gives the surface unique look and feel that is not only durable, but also very flexible.

The paints are available in three stock colors: Light Grey, Medium Grey, and Black. Custom colors are available based on the industry standard RAL or NCS color codes. When making a custom color, it is important to understand that the final Tessuto color may be a little different from a standard color because the tint of the microspheres blends with the paint pigments to develop the multihued Tessuto color.

The standard Tessuto paints are suitable for interior use, however, Cromas has developed a second Tessuto paint that offers a higher level of resistance for applications on high-touch surfaces and objects or for exterior use.

This fabric effect is suggested for professional and advanced DIY users on objects including:

Once testing has been verified, the Tessuto effect is easily reproducible for series production of objects and surfaces.

This paint effect can be sprayed on the following surfaces:

  • Wood and wood sheets MDF and HDF
  • Metal (Iron, Aluminium, Brass, etc.)
  • Plastics (ABS, ABS-PC, etc.)
  • Glass

The colors in the pictures are for reference only. In order to see and feel this unique effect, we suggest to order a sample kit of this paint effect for testing. The sample kit will contains 1 kg of each paint needed to make the effect. We supply primer, Tessuto paint and hardener and thinner for spraying. This can paint a 5 m2 area. To retain the velvety texture, a topcoat is not used in this effect.
