Protective Paint for Metal Surfaces

The natural patina that develops on a metal surface as a result of aging for years is often a richly colored and rusty surface that should be protected. To preserve this type of interior or exterior surface, Cromas has developed a painting process that treats the surface with several two thickness acrylic resins to seal and protect the surface while retaining the aged patina look.

These resins are high-strength transparent paints that are paired with anti-corrosion additives to provide an ideal barrier for the protection of metal substrates.

The finished look can be a Matte, Satin or Gloss surface that does not change the original appearance of the metal but offer real protection. Contact the Cromas office to discuss your project and learn how to preserve your metal surface.

To test this protective paint effect, a sample kit is available for purchase. The sample kit will have 1 kg of each paint needed to make the effect. We supply transparent metal primer, transparent topcoat and hardener and thinner for spraying. This can paint a 6 m2 area.
